Settings
Function Description: Provides settings for individual-tree position, crown diameter calculation type, DBH fitting method, tree parameter calculation, and forestry rendering. These settings apply to individual-tree measurement, tree editing, parameter calculation, and parameter measurement.
Steps
1.Click Settings
in the Tree Editor group on the Urban Forestry page. The following dialog box appears:
2.Set the required parameters and click OK.
Parameter Settings
- Ground Points Class: Applies to all functions in the Urban Forestry module except Segmentation. This class must be set when the ground is not normalized; otherwise, the functions cannot run.
- Parameters: Contains settings for individual-tree position, crown diameter calculation type, and DBH fitting method.
- Crown Diameter Type: Provides Average Crown Diameter, Circle Fitting, and Ellipse Fitting.
- Average: (North-South Crown Diameter + East-West Crown Diameter) / 2.
- Circle: 2 * sqrt(Crown Projection Area / PI).
- Ellipse: sqrt(North-South Crown Diameter * East-West Crown Diameter).
- DBH Fit Method: Provides circle, ellipse, and cylinder fitting.
- Circle: Fits a circle to the sliced point cloud at the configured DBH height.
- Ellipse: Fits an ellipse to the sliced point cloud at the configured DBH height.
- Cylinder: Fits a cylinder to the sliced point cloud at the configured DBH height.
- DBH Height: Sets the DBH measurement height as required.
- Minimum DBH: Trees with a DBH below this value are filtered during point cloud segmentation.
- Maximum DBH: Trees with a DBH above this value are filtered during point cloud segmentation.
- Crown Diameter Type: Provides Average Crown Diameter, Circle Fitting, and Ellipse Fitting.
- Forest Render: Controls the visibility of DBH, CD, and Height in the 3D view.
- DBH: A vector circle centered on the DBH fitting center, with DBH as its diameter.
- CD: A vector circle centered on the DBH fitting center, with CD as its diameter.
- Height: A vertical vector line using the seed point as its base and tree height as its length.
Note: The planar coordinates of the seed point are consistent with those of the DBH center.
