Open and save a model
Open Model
On the ModelBuilder tab, in the Model group, click Open and select a previously saved model file with a .litml extension.
Note: During the process of opening a model, the software will automatically check your activation status. If the model contains tools from unauthorized modules, a corresponding warning will be displayed.
Opening a model does not automatically populate the model’s data variables with the current project data. The data in the opened model corresponds to the state when the model was last saved.
Opening a model file that was automatically saved in another project within the current project may cause some data to be read and used in ways that do not match the expected results of the original project.
Save Model
On the ModelBuilder tab, in the Model group, click the Save dropdown menu and select Save to automatically save the current model to the file path set when creating the model.
Saving a model preserves all variables and parameters, as well as the status of each process and the appearance and layout of the model diagram.
Note: At least one data processing tool must be added to the model for saving to succeed.
Save As...
On the ModelBuilder tab, in the Model group, click the Save dropdown menu and select Save As...
. In the subsequent dialog, choose the desired save path to save the current model to the specified location.
When using Save As, only non-data-variable parameters and the model diagram’s appearance and layout are saved.
Save as Template
On the ModelBuilder tab, in the Model group, click the Save dropdown menu and select Save as Template
. This adds the current model as a user-defined model under the user-defined node in the Model List. The custom model name matches the model name in Model Properties. Users can then use their saved model just like any built-in workflow model.
Note: Saving the same model multiple times will prompt whether to overwrite it. Selecting "Yes" will replace the previous model with the same name; otherwise, the current model will be renamed as "ModelName(Number)" and saved as a custom model.
When saving as a template, only non-input/output data variable parameters and the model diagram’s appearance and layout are saved.
