Intersection Selection

InputFile(s) Function Description: Select the area inside the intersection by using intersecting polyhedrons. This function only works with Gaussian windows. During the first launch, the environment needs to be initialized, so please wait for it to start.

Steps

Click the Intersection Selection OpenPointCloud button in the tool panel:

  • Adjust to a suitable view so that the target object to be picked is approximately at the center of the window. Click the left mouse button on the target object to generate a polyhedron that fits closely around it. As shown in the image below:

If you are not satisfied with the generated polyhedron, click the right mouse button to cancel the current one.

  • Switch the view and continue clicking the left mouse button on the target object. Make sure the newly generated polyhedron intersects with the first one and encloses the target object, as shown in the image below:

Generate Polyhedron

Similarly, if you are not satisfied with the generated polyhedron, click the right mouse button to cancel it and regenerate.

  • Repeat the above steps to create more polyhedrons for intersection, ultimately obtaining the target object. At least two intersecting polyhedrons are required. After completing the selection, press the Enter key to obtain the final picking result. As shown below:
