Distress Verification
Function Description: Manually reviews results from both Image-based and Point Cloud-based Distress Detection. The function filters distress by confidence and synchronizes the 3D, Panorama, and Planar views to locate each object. It supports confirming results, deleting false detections, modifying distress type and severity, and manually creating distress missed by automatic detection.
Input Conditions
Before using this function, the project must contain a "Distress" layer generated by image-based or point cloud-based detection and point cloud data for positioning and comparison. To review against imagery, also load photos and an image list file (*.imglist) matched to the point cloud. Distress Verification does not rerun automatic detection; it directly modifies or supplements existing distress vectors.
Operation Steps
1.Click Distress Verification and set Maximum Confidence to filter low-confidence distress requiring review
2.Use Previous and Next to browse distress pending verification
3.Compare the 3D, Panorama, and Planar views and use Verify, Delete, Edit, or Create to process the distress
Verification Operations

During automatic navigation, the 3D, Panorama, and Planar views move together.
Create Distress
1.Select the distress type and severity
2.Click in the 3D, Panorama, or Planar view to define polygon vertices
3.Double-click to close the polygon
The result is stored in the "Distress" layer, and length, width, and area attributes are calculated automatically. Create can also add distress types or areas missed by automatic detection.
Parameter Settings
- Maximum Confidence: Sets the confidence threshold. Only distress below this value is included in verification
Output Results
Verify, Delete, Edit, and Create directly update the "Distress" layer. After verification, confirm that distress type, severity, and geometry meet the statistical requirements before calculating PCI.
Subsequent Processing
If PCI or a report has already been generated, recalculate and export it again after modifying distress so downstream results match the verified data.
