Script Tool Management

A Script Tool is stored as a Toolbox item with an internal name, display label, description, and Python script.

Operations

• Create a Script Tool
• Open a Script Tool
• Edit Script Tool Properties
• Delete a Script Tool

Management principles

The internal Name is the persistent identifier; the Label is shown in the Toolbox. After creation, edit only the Label and Description. Switching tools, closing the editor, and running attempt to save the current script, but important changes should still be saved explicitly.
