Delete by Color

Steps

1. Click Delete by Color to activate the function. The selection toolbar appears in the Gaussian window.

1. Click Pick Color to activate color picking. Move the pointer and click a Gaussian splat in the scene whose color you want to delete. Color picking ends automatically after the click, and the picked color is displayed in the color swatch as the target color.

2. Set the color tolerance. Color tolerance controls the permitted difference between filtered colors and the target color. A higher tolerance selects a wider range of colors, while a lower tolerance limits the result to colors closer to the target color.

3. Adjust the scene view, then activate any selection tool on the Gaussian window toolbar to specify the area to process. Within the selected area, the program filters Gaussian splats whose color difference from the target color falls within the tolerance range.

Button Description:

• Pick Color: Activate color picking, move the pointer, and click a color in the scene. Color picking ends automatically after one click, and the picked color is displayed in the color swatch.
• Profile: Open the profile window and select data in the profile view.
• Rectangle: Select data within a rectangular area.
• Polygon: Select data within a polygonal area.
• Lasso: Select data within a freehand area.
• Subtract: Remove data in a specified area from the current selection. Use this together with another selection tool.
• Delete: Delete the current selection. Individual deletion operations cannot currently be undone; only all unsaved deletions can be canceled.

• Cancel: Cancel all unsaved deletion operations.

• Check the filtering result. After selecting an area, you can continue adjusting the color tolerance, and the selection updates accordingly. Increasing the tolerance includes more similarly colored Gaussian splats in the selected area, while decreasing it narrows the filtered color range. You can also pick a new target color or use the selection and subtract tools to modify the processing area. Ensure that the result contains only the data to delete.

1. Click Save to delete the selected Gaussian splats and write the result to the current Gaussian file.

2. Click Exit to leave the Delete by Color function.

Note: The selection tools only define the processing area. A Gaussian splat is selected only when it is inside the selected area and its color difference from the target color falls within the configured tolerance range.
