Meaning

A vector layer had the same name as an existing layer of another geometry type, so LiDAR360MLS renamed it and continued importing.

Common Causes

• A layer with the same name already exists in the project.
• The existing and imported layers use different geometry types.

Resolution Steps

1. Find the automatically renamed layer in the project tree and verify its geometry type.
2. Update models, styles, or reports that still refer to the original layer name.
3. To avoid renaming, assign unique source layer names before importing.
