Horizontal Section Settings
Parameter Settings
- Height: Controls the vertical position of the section plane. Defaults to the lowest elevation of visible point clouds.
- Buffer: Controls the thickness of the extracted slice in the vertical direction. Defaults to the elevation difference between the highest and lowest points in the view.
- Vertical Step:Height adjusted per press when using the up and down buttons
- Snap Plane: When checked, sets an independent snap plane height instead of using the section height. Uncheck to restore the section plane as the snap plane.
- Select Height: Activates a one-time point selection mode. After selecting a point, the Height parameter updates to the elevation of the selected point.
- Reset: Restores default values for Height and Buffer.
- 2D Mode: Locks the view to a top-down orthographic projection (synchronizes with the toolbar's 2D Mode).
- Reference Plane: Toggles a virtual plane perpendicular to the Z-axis at the specified Height.
Point Cloud Snapping: Synchronizes with the toolbar's Point Cloud Snapping.
Manually input the height or use the slider below to adjust the section plane. Optionally input a buffer thickness to preview the horizontal section in real-time.
Enable Reference Plane is required for baseline collection in vertical measurements.
