Generate DOM by Pixel Mode
Function Overview
Generate DOM by Pixel Mode uses aerial triangulation image project results and DEM/DSM data to generate a Digital Orthophoto Map (DOM). In pixel mode, each output pixel searches for the most suitable image independently and uses that image for pixel assignment. This mode is suitable for DOM generation workflows that require per-pixel image selection.
Usage
To generate a DOM, first import the aerial triangulation result and convert it to a LiDAR360 image project file. Then prepare DEM or DSM data that covers the image project area. For DEM/DSM generation, see Point Cloud to DEM or Point Cloud to DSM.
Click Terrain > Generate DOM by Pixel Mode.
Parameter Settings
Image Project: Select the input image project file. File format:
*.liaep.DEM/DSM: Select the DEM or DSM file used for orthorectification. Supported formats:
*.tif,*.tiff.Resolution Mode: Set how the output DOM resolution is calculated. Manual and automatic modes are supported.
Automatic Resolution Multiplier: Used in automatic mode. Sets the multiplier between the output DOM resolution and the ground sampling distance (GSD) of the original images.
Manual Resolution: Used in manual mode. Sets the spatial resolution of the output DOM in meters. A smaller value produces higher resolution and requires more processing time.
Color Correction: Adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and white balance of the original images during DOM generation.
Maximum Tilt Angle: Images whose tilt angle is greater than this value are not used for orthorectification, mosaicking, or fusion.
Output Path: Set the save path of the DOM result. Supported formats:
*.tif,*.tiff.
Output
The tool outputs a DOM file generated by pixel mode in *.tif or *.tiff format.
