LLM Tree Species Identification

Function Overview

LLM Tree Species Identification identifies tree species by using a large language model. The tool uses an individual tree attribute file as input and can optionally use panorama images and coordinate system information when the selected model supports these inputs.

This tool is different from point-structure-based tree species recognition. It focuses on model-based reasoning with tree attributes and optional auxiliary image information.

Usage

Click TLS Forest > Individual Tree Attributes > LLM Tree Species Identification to open the tool.

Parameter Settings

  • Tree Attribute File: Input individual tree attribute file (*.treedb).

  • Panorama: Optional panorama image path. This parameter does not take effect if the current LLM does not support visual input.

  • Coordinate System: Optional coordinate system information used with panorama images.

  • Fill Empty Values Only: Identify tree species only for records whose tree species value is empty.

  • Low Confidence: Identify tree species for records whose confidence is lower than the specified threshold. The threshold range is 0 to 1.

  • All Data: Re-identify tree species for all records in the input file.

Notes

  • The bottom area of the panel shows the availability of the LLM service.
  • Check the network connection and LiCloud login status before using this tool.
