Compute Volume with Branches

Function Overview

This function builds upon Trunk-Based Individual Tree Segmentation to further calculate the volume, length, and segmentation of branches.

Usage

Click TLS Forest > Compute Volume with Branches.

Parameter Settings

  • Select File:The input data must be point cloud data that has undergoneTrunk-Based Individual Tree Segmentation. This data must be normalized, contain Tree IDs, and include branch classes.

  • Individusl Tree Attribute File:The input should be the individual tree attribute file corresponding to the point cloud data. For the specific file format, please refer to the TLS Individual Tree Segmentation Result File Format

  • Stem Class:The class representing both trunks and branches.

  • Min Trunk diameter(cm)(Default: "12.1"):Only calculates the volume of trunks larger than this value.

Note: After execution, trunk volume, branch length, and "length-starting DBH-ending DBH" will be added to the end columns. If these columns already exist, they will be overwritten.
