ModelBuilder FAQ
1.Cluster execution error: "No available cluster task nodes."
- Cause: The LiDAR360MLS engine has not been started, or the LiDAR360MLS master node cannot find a suitable task node.
- Solution: Start the LiDAR360MLS master node and LiDAR360MLS engine from the Tools tab → Cluster Computing in the LiDAR360MLS main application, ensuring that the master node can detect and use at least one LiDAR360MLS engine.
2.Saving a model or saving a model as a template error: "At least one tool needs to be added to save the current model content."
- Cause: A model must contain at least one tool before it can be saved.
- Solution: Add a tool to the model before saving.
3.Error opening a model: "Failed to load the model file!"
- Cause: The model file is being used by another program, is not a standard exported model file, or contains tool module plugins that failed to load.
- Solution: Verify that the model file was exported from LiDAR360MLS and has not been altered. Check if the file is currently being used by another program. Ensure that all plugins load successfully when the software starts.
4.Model validation or execution error: "No runnable tools have been added!"
- Cause: No tools have been added to the model.
- Solution: Add at least one tool to the model before executing.
5.Model execution error: "Process is running! Please do it after the process."
- Cause: Another process or tool in LiDAR360MLS is currently running.
- Solution: Wait until the other process or tool has finished before starting the model.
6.Parameter-related errors after validating a model
- Cause: Required parameters for a tool are missing or incorrectly set.
- Solution: Open the tool as indicated in the error message and set the required parameters with correct input and output.
7.Model validation or execution error: "Tool flow exist rings!"
- Cause: The workflow contains a loop structure.
- Solution: Model diagrams in ModelBuilder cannot contain circular flows where the end tool connects back to the start. Break the loop to proceed.
8.Model validation or execution error: "Unauthorized modules exist in ModelBuilder, Please contact info@greenvalleyintl.com to get a full version."
- Cause: The model contains modules not licensed with the current software activation code.
- Solution: Save the model, purchase the required modules via the official link, and reopen the saved model to run. Alternatively, remove the unauthorized tools from the model.
9.Model validation or execution error: "xxxx: Tools input parameter(s) or output parameter(s) not specified."
- Cause: The input or output data path required by the xxxx tool is empty.
- Solution: Check the xxxx tool’s input and output parameters and specify valid paths if they are empty.
10.Why can’t input feature classes dragged from the floating input pane or some tool outputs be used as inputs for projection and coordinate transformation tools?
- In LiDAR360MLS, projection and coordinate transformation tools only accept file-based inputs.
11.Why are many tools missing from the toolbox window when editing in ModelBuilder?
- In LiDAR360MLS, not all tools are available for building models. Interactive tools are not suitable for automated workflows and are hidden during model editing.
12.ModelBuilder connection error: "The parameter types are inconsistent."
- Cause: The tool’s required input format or type (e.g., single input vs. multiple input) does not match the connected input.
- Solution: Hover over the tool to view supported input formats and types in the popup window, then select the appropriate input from the floating input pane. Alternatively, right-click the tool → Get Parameters and choose the correct input.
